A Photographer.

A photographer cant be judged by one image alone. One successful image does not make a successful photographer no matter how phenomenal this image may be. A photographer should be judged on their portfolio of images, the story they tell through their collection.

The difference between a photographer and a non professional capturing photographs is that the photographer must be consistent. They must have the technical ability and artistic eye to know what is aesthetically pleasing and what the viewer can relate to. A non professional will know what looks good, and will know to capture it, like beautiful sunset but that is all. They will not be able to light a subject to capture it in its finest form, to create mood from composition and depth of field.

"It is the gift of seeing the life around them clearly and vividly, as something that is exciting in its own right. It is an innate gift, varying in intensity with the individual's temperament and environment." - Bill Brandt
